Is moissanite durable enough for everyday wear?
Yes. Moissanite measures approximately 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale, making it highly resistant to scratching and well suited to regular wear.
As with all fine jewelry, the setting and metal should still be protected from hard impacts, abrasive surfaces and strenuous activities.
Does moissanite get cloudy or lose its brilliance over time?
Moissanite does not normally become permanently cloudy with wear. Oils, lotions, soap and everyday residue can temporarily soften its sparkle.
Gentle cleaning can restore its clarity and brilliance, while regular care also helps keep the surrounding metal and settings looking their best.
How should I clean and care for moissanite jewelry?
Clean moissanite jewelry with lukewarm water, mild soap and a soft brush, then rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
Pay particular attention to the underside of stones and around settings where residue may collect. When not being worn, store your piece separately in its original STDIAM walnut wood box to help reduce contact and rubbing against other jewelry.

Why is moissanite more affordable than diamond?

What really impressed me was the presentation—it arrived in a beautiful walnut box, complete with the GRA report. the other review pictures DON’T do this justice. it came with authentication cards to prove tht this was real moissanite, which i think is so cool. it sparkles SO much! i bought this ring because i’m writing a book called Goddess, Incarnated by Destiny Jenae’ which is a mythical retelling of Hades x Persephone. it’s a story told nonlinearly in which Persephone is incarnated onto Earth with no memories but she still has her wedding ring that she wears unconsciously on a chain. she doesn’t know anything about her past. later in the book, we get her memories of proposal with this ring and a wedding scene, so it was important for me to find one that was really pretty and could be ancient but also timeless. i’m in LOVEEE with this ring. it looks expensive and sparkles better than some of my actual diamonds. the book is available on stdiam, just search it!

Wow!!!!This is beautiful and high quality. I bought this as an alternative to my wedding set for when I travel or go out. The band is sturdy and the moissanite stone is high quality and sparkles in the sunlight. The design is nice because it doesn’t catch on things as easily as my wedding set. Overall very happy!! I hope the gold plating continues to hold up as well. I’ve had it about a week now and no signs of wearing off. It doesn’t sparkle in dim lighting as well as my diamonds but that’s to be expected! Great value.
